NUTATING DISC: TIGHT MACHINED TOLERANCES FOR EXACT AMOUNT OF FLUID FOR LIQUID FLOW MEASUREMENT
Liquid enters a precision-machined chamber containing a disc which nutates (wobbles). The measuring chamber contains an exact known quantity of fluid. The nutations of the disc are transmitted by a gear train to a totalizer or pulse transmitter.
- Eliminates upstream and downstream straight run piping requirements.
- Case material options provide flexibility of fluids – bronze, epoxy cast iron, high pressure epoxy coated carbon steel
- Tolerant of foreign particles in the fluid
- Temperature range up to 400 F (204 C)
